Changed My Mind
A Fallen Try
Shadowed Love
Not So Good
A Stranger in Me

Sitting in a vacant room
Locked inside my mind.
Wonder if people see me
Caught within this rhyme.
TV a mindless nothing
Blends right into the drone.
None of it lets me sleep
Causing my mind to roam.
A kaleidoscope of colors
Flashes across the sky
Blurred and running together
By the tears in my eyes.
Some of the tears were from laughter.
Some of them sadness sets in.
Some of it fears of the future
Some for where I have been.
Will it ever be different
Or is this the shape of my life?
Has it all gone up in smoke
To be in constant strife?
Now I’ll lie this all down
Shaking it out of my soul.
Take all of the lost pieces
Molding them into a whole.
Now the words are all spoken
I am lost as what to say.
So I will turn it back in to thought
Before it gets blown away.
I stand here so breathless
Savoring all this fresh air.
Coming back to reality
Finding I truly care.
How can I know a freedom
Like I’ve never known before.
So many years I’ve been captive
Behind an unlocked door.
