That Love
What can spread so rapidly throughout the system?
Like the venom from cobra when one gets bitten
As it takes its effect and through the body and it respond
That how love's effect too makes one quickly breaks down.
A force some strong, overwhelming and indeed compelling
In this state one has no control over the love one is selecting
So one can be inflected, enchanted and bewitched at any time
This pain can put pressure on one mind and put it through the grind
And too one always sees love as something so very wonderful;
Seeing that side of bringing that feeling of pleasure and so delightful
Even in some cases to that state that breathes a form of euphoria
This state would seem more valuable that any form of treasure
This love also surely can wield some miraculous powers
Even on those occasions when countries engage in wars
But they quickly signed that peace treaty sealed with that union
Well ratified by that bond called marriage between the opponent's children
Even in history it happened when an heir to the monarchy
Gave up the right because of a profound love for a divorcee
Such a force can compel one to turn the back on such an enviable position
Then there is no way one can ever quantify the power enclosed in such an institution
But as always in life there will be always equal contrast
Because in some cases that flame can certainly burn out fast
How painful it can to see that former receiver of one's affection
Has now conferred that love, formerly yours on another person
So those in love do not think that it is always that easy
Keep on working hard to make sure that the course is steady
Because after that initial step, there are other areas that will become visible
So lip service and those things tangible will not be the only forces to keep that love stable.
