Night on Tropical Beach
What a joy it is to spend a night on a tropical beach
How deep this feeling into the being this can reach
Sitting there relaxing in such convectional warmth
As the water seem to yield its heat adding to the ambience
Such beauty sitting there so comfortable with glass in hand
Enjoying the moonlight as it is being reflected from the golden sand
As the water slowly come in to gently kiss that line of the shore
In such a surrounding who could really ask for more
From the shelter of the trees a car door gets slam
Soon happy lovers walked hand in hand across the sand
Hugging and kissing openly displaying love to each other
Then later disappear into the arms of the rock beckoning shelter
Then there is that cooling effect brought on by that gentle breeze
Who forces brought on that undulating swaying of the leaves on the palm trees
Close by too is its cousin the coconut standing tall and so regal
The two united in their efforts making the area so scenic and beautiful
Then there are those casuarinas leaves so slender, but the brown so soft and tender
By the light of the moon and that by some other, it is where people tend to gather
As the music and sounds of people getting down so merrily
There is not mistake that it's a place where they are enjoying a party
Across the water one can see the ferry on time sailing
What a sight as there are people on it dancing and gyrating
The audible sound reverberating is that of the beat of calypso
Such a rhythm and tempo really makes all systems ready to go
How the wind in its drift too bring along that aroma
Of the food around, a scent that makes the mouth water
So as it reached me, how that appetite get so much arouse
That I had to reach for that delicacy called “black pudding and souse”.
