Addiction
Tell me what are those signs that depicts and addiction
Do those afflicted realize that they do have this problem?
How far too so they have in life to really drop to get to realize
That they have reached such a depth, even they too will despise
Society seem to that the problem is only for those on narcotics
But how much attention does be focused on the one who are alcoholics
Perhaps it is because to imbibe it is still in that domain of being legal
And so because of that fact has most certainly snared a lot of people
There are those who think that their artistic ability shines like a light
When they take something that transposes them to another height
So this belief turn into a habit that later become an acute infection
Then later in time they then develop that dependency syndrome
A person has to go before a group to court by making a presentation
Being nervous will take something that may reduce that inhibition
This may work and so will most certainly over time become that crutch
That will be used and so unto it that person will eventually clutch
But now let us take a look at those people we adore called entertainers
How we admire their talent, treasures but never see their pressures
As they try to please their fans, honor programs and filling tight schedules
Yes over time that stamina wanes, the later some assistance become crucial
So as their bodies feel that effect of those hours of some form of deprivation
The time sometimes with little sleep can upset equilibrium and normal function
May resort to some form of narcotics or find that comfort in prescription medication
Now it's quite evident that either form of addiction is detrimental to the body system
How can we help a friend, a family member, or a loved one curb an addiction?
What are those traits that that can show us that sensitive pattern?
Is it time now for all of us to get involve in courses for rehabilitation
So that some assistance; can be rendered prior to professional intervention.
