Slacker

Do not let your eyelids to close,
Nor allowing your eyes to rest;
For time surpasses as it grows,
And do not expect to be blest.

Look at the ant you lazy bum,
Watch its ways you will become wise;
See how it will go and will come,
And moving things ten times its size.

Although it has no overseer,
No ruler to watch over them;
No supervisor that is near,
But disciplined not to condemn.

The ant has a good attitude,
As it goes through every day;
All summer long it gathers food,
Preserving to trust and obey.

But how long will you just lie there,
How long are you going to sleep?
Acting that you really do not care,
Being a no good lazy creep.

Just a little bit more slumber,
Just a little longer to nap;
How many sheep did you number,
That the wolf grabs in his death trap.

But the wolf is Satan by name,
And will come to you in the night;
He will tempt you into a game,
As he will steal you from the light.
