why must...
Why must the ones in power
Starve the little man?
Ruling with a state of fear
Destroying all they can.
Hording all the money
Hiding all the wealth.
Growing things in the lab
Messing with our health.
If they want complete control
Our jobs they'll take away.
Training us to stand in line
Watching the things we say.
What happened to the country
That cared about it's own?
Ignoring all the simply facts
Like some call their car their home.
I can still remember
When people really cared.
If someone needed help
We gathered round and shared.
Your door was always open
To help your fellow man.
We were there to teach them
Give them a helping hand.
Management did not like that
Because they lacked control.
So they made joy obsolete
Said it was from days of old.
Don't you hear the laughter
As they watch you die.
Ceremonies telling you
To give up without a try.
I found it was ingrained
The will to stay alive.
But we lie here dying
The food we cannot buy.
But you can't kill the spirit
That's a part of everyone.
“No more” is out slogan
Our outrage has just begun.
Gathering in rebellion
We'll stand the truth be told.
Speak out to show the right
Buy back our soul they sold.
