Wondering
How can I do just one thing
When my mind's not in my head?
I look into a grave so deep
A place I really dread.
Thoughts are spinning all around
Can't believe my eyes.
Frightened by the screams I see
Smashing all my tries.
When I try to tell someone
They only stop and stare.
Sadly it's dawned on me
They don't really care.
As I tramp this troubled world
The answers I can't find.
Peoples lost the will to live
This is a frightening sign.
Must I lose the things I have
Just to get this right?
The stuff I'm trying to protect
Fades into the night.
Tears that come in torrents
Quickly fill my soul.
It overflows my broken cup.
It makes me feel so old.
Yet my hope comes shinning through
Giving me some breaks.
Lets me know I will succeed
No matter what it will takes.
