History: Ruby Roses is the first poem written for this couple. This poem was written for the family after Virginia passed on too. It reflects their Faith and a bit of history of that time. They met on Halloween, shared an unending love.
Had a son and a daughter, then two grandsons, and a great grand daughter.
Together Again
Virginia H. Rawhoof
1926 – 2012
Born when prohibition, flappers and jazz were in full swing
Then Virginia was born and you could hear angels sing.
She grew up strong with a golden heart
And lots of love she just had to impart.
For a love like Bogie and Bacall, she waited…
Until under a Halloween moon two hearts were fated.
Eugene asked her to be his loving bride…
Soon after their family by two was multiplied.
Year after year together love grew and grew
Along came the grandkids, first one and then two.
Those boys were their hearts' treasure
Spoiling them with love beyond measure.
Then after fifty - six years together Eugene passed on
Still she carried their torch although he was gone.
Life gave her one more blessing to carry her through
When a great grandbaby made her debut.
Finally after eighty - five years her earthly walk here is done
And their ‘Ruby Roses' will grow in the Son!
‘Together Again' in their heavenly place
Soon they'll see Jesus' face!!
