The Wheel

That evening on his usual evening he change his route to pass by the park
In former years he did this shrouded by the shelter of the dark
To him there was no delight today as almost everywhere there was light
But accepter the fact that change was some that was always in sight

But as he approached the park on the bench sitting was someone
Sitting there , was a man looked looking dejected and all forgotten
Not wanting to be nosy but too did not want to move along like the levy
However he had to intervene as coming from the person was a loud cry

Armed with that belief that as human being we are here for each other
Because in fact we should see and respect ant treat each person like brother
So feeling happier now and with that care he moved even faster
To see what assistance to render to half alleviate or address the matter

As he approached that recognition made him stood momentarily still
How could this be it was that rich man who as far as he knew lives on the hill
In his younger day he knew and helped all of them village little children
But why is he now looking so poor ,dejected , rejected and downtrodden

On look at him brought back to the young man such flashes of memories
The happy look on his face as he eased lots of those cricketing miseries
Those gear he provided, advice and those talks and such encouragement
Was what drove the team then to win all of it participating tournament

There he was now a jolt of what is part of life's reality
Re-enforcing the fact that the future is definitely laced with such uncertainty
So the trip over to the seat was not for pity but he felt for him sadden
Trying to figure what in his now old friend's life had so happen

But on coming near the old man too smile is such happy recognition
As he said “keep the elbow straight for the ball to be properly driven>”
Then they both laugh for a while but again there was that gravity
How he then held his head and again began to cry quite bitterly

My friend I made under advice some as history has proven some bad investment
Coupled now with the recession and some other factors added to my predicament
In all this my so call friends and family even deserted me , quite hastily
That was the wound that really caused me the greatest injury

The young man replied my friend I have something to tell you
Years ago your generosity made many children's dreams come true
As all of us grew we always kept that locus of focus firmly on you
Now this very night com along with me, not another night exposed to the dew

Net day there was a celebration in the village there was a function
How happy he felt as to him the setting was like a sort of reunion
There was such joy to see that out poring of love gratitude and such deep respect
It made him cry at the revolving wheel of gratitude, reflected in that cashier's check.
