A TROLL'S LOVE STORY

A TROLL'S LOVE STORY

In the land of shallow soil
there lived a troll under the root of a tree

Each day when the sun shined bright
he rested and slept in his hole beneath the root out of site

At night when darkness came
he crept out and began his prowls

First he walked down to the water's edge and
had a deep drink

He then climbed back up the sharp rocks
following the path of years he had traveled

Through the dark night he wondered over the area
tricking and scaring any thing or one he met

Mischief was his aim to the troll's shame
He was very good at his game

In the moonlight bright
he saw a beautiful site

There before his watery eyes
stood a lady troll with hair brown and flowing

A softness filled his shameless heart
from this night he would make a new start

Love engulfed them both
Forever to love they pledged their troth
