O Shiva, O my father divine!
You are the savior of the fallen!
Neither a brother nor a father
Nor any one can save me from
The misery of the world, hence
I take refuge at Thy lotus feet!

My mind is distracted by evil tendencies
My body is wasting away by old age and diseases.
Deluded by lust and ignorance I committed sins
The memories of my past conduct makes me
Tremble with fear; O father,You are famous
As Savior of the fallen! Hence
I take refuge at Thy lotus feet!

I am yours, O Shiva, You are my father,
How can You forsake me when I need help?
When a child out of ignorance falls into a well,
Is there any father who neglects his own child?
From worldly misery why don’t You lift me up
And why don't You take me unto Thy lap?
You are famous as Savior of the fallen?
Hence, I take refuge at Thy lotus feet!
