The Lamb of God
My heart desire and prayer,
Is to be able to share;
That each of you God will save,
From death as well as the grave.
Maybe deeply devoted,
As it is duly noted;
But you might be misguided,
The way that you abided.
For you may not understand,
Blessings what He does demand;
Since you seek His approval,
After sinful removal.
Christ is the fulfillment sought,
Of those things Moses had taught;
Through confession and believe,
If you have faith you receive.
Whoever obeys shall live,
Because the Lord will forgive;
Iniquities long ago,
Exchange for blessings that flow.
Ask not if bound for Heaven,
Your salvation is given;
Do not ask where you will dwell,
If confessed it is not hell.
If you swear Jesus is Lord,
You will never be ignored;
Rest assured that you are saved,
And your pass has been engraved.
