On the fifteenth cycle of waxing Moon
I meditate on Goddess Sri Lalita, who
Assumes the form of Chitra!

I meditate on Mother Divine,
Who resembles the rising Sun
Who is adorned with nine kinds
Of precious gems, whose crown
Is studded with lustrous jewels
Who is resplendent with silken
Garments, who has four arms,
Three eyes, whose face is shining
With rain bows of charming smiles!
The Lady who is endowed with various
Energies and excellencies, who bestows
All desires, who has the form of bliss
Of every kind, who holds in Her four
Hands a goad, a noose,and gestures
Of granting boons and fearlessness
Who is stationed in the pericarp
Of the lotus, is Goddess Chitra;
I meditate on her as She grants
All desires and divine bliss!
