Thank You, Momma
When the momma who gave us life
couldn't take care of us anymore
you brought us home
and gave us all the love
you have to give
not because you have to
but because you want to
when we fight with each other, as siblings do,
you have us hug and kiss
you call it telling each other sorry
we know it's really helping us grow closer
Thank You, Momma, for loving us so much even though you didn't have to
you have loved us through so much
you teach us new things every day
you wipe our tears when we cry
you calm our fears when we are scared
you listen to our problems when we need someone to talk to
you let our birth mother be a part of our lives
you are giving us a great thing
