Rhythm of the Tides
Time passes, life changes;
Yet there is a pattern.
Seas dance with the shore;
The moon rules, the surf responds.
High tide… low tide;
It is the rhythm of the tides.
Learning life's lesson number forty-seven;
Don't judge based on only one phase.
The yin, the yang; both ends of the stick;
It is only complete when seen as one.
Low tide… high tide;
It is the rhythm of the tides.
High tide overwhelms with power;
Low tide smells, meekly receding.
Let this wisdom grow within
Regarding love, romance, passion.
High tide… low tide;
It is the rhythm of the tides.
Enter into a relationship
Not on the power of high tide;
Nor exit a relationship
At the low tides ebb.
Low tide… high tide;
It is the rhythm of the tides.
Open you heart to the big picture;
Take life as a whole, not only a shard.
Learn at the feet of Mother Nature;
Make her wisdom your belt.
High tide... low tide;
It is the rhythm of the tides.
