Patience and Confidence in God
Fret not yourself about a foe,
It merely adds stress to your woe;
Neither be envious of things,
That evil or wickedness brings.
Just like when the grass was so green,
Then dries as withering is seen;
As it dies it is turning brown,
And each blade of grass wears a frown.
Put your trust into the Lord God,
And give Him your honor and laud;
While doing good and righteous deeds,
Cater to those with dire needs.
Dwell in the land and be faithful,
Unto the Lord be respectful;
Delight in the ways of the Lord,
By remaining in one accord.
He gives desires of the heart,
Within His Word that you impart;
Entrust as you commit your way,
Then no longer enticed to stray.
Trust Him and He will bring to pass,
A stronger and a greener grass,
You delight in the righteous rains,
That washes away sinful stains.
You will glisten within the sight,
Shining bright in the noonday light;
And then everyone will know,
Of your righteousness from the glow.
Surrender yourself to the Lord,
And you will never be ignored;
Rest in Him and wait patiently,
So you will be blessed abundantly.
