I remember your head on a Ten Bob note
On the stamps that I stuck on the letters I wrote
On a Half Crown coin and a Three-Penny bit
A Shilling
A Half-Pence
A Penny
A Quid
Your face has been with me since I was a boy
You're older now Ma'am
But so am I too
We've grown up together
Though you've never known me
I'm the one clutching the railings
Standing outside your house
I went to your Castle
But you wasn't at home
I'm the one in the crowd
Singing God Save The Queen
Waving the flag
And feeling so proud
I've watched you on telly
Each Christmas Day
At weddings and funerals
And tours overseas
I've got you on tea-towels
On mugs and on plates
I've fought for you bravely in strange foreign lands
It's been an honour to serve you
For the past sixty years
I remain your loyal servant
God Bless Her
The Queen!
