I know not Why
I Know not why the tiny sparrow must fall
Nor why the might storms must call
I know not why that sometimes the end
comes before the beginning
I know not why man kills his own kin
or takes his life in the end
I know not why young children
must starve and die
I know not why war kills peace
I know not how many stars are in the sky
I know not the wisdom of Solomon
For if I did, I’d know the answer to
these riddles so sadly inscribed here in tears
