 ramblings and things

Smiling Slowly

She had a smile to light a room,
When she bothered to turn it on,
Mostly it flowed across her face
So briefly and then was gone
To be replaced with a look like
A professor of difficult sums
As she stood at the school gate
With the crowd of other mums.

She made love like an angel
Those times the mood took her
most times just surrendered
To lay unresponsively there.
And when the act was over,
The coitus sadly completed,
Her indifference just left him
Feeling flat and defeated.

But when she met her lover she
Would shower him with smiles,
Cover him with kisses
Love in an unabandoned style,
Neither ever sure how long
Their meetings could last,
Never ever sure when each
Would  be in the other's past.
