 Final Curtains
They sit alone on a flat stone
Tears blending with the rain
Vines concealing their shadows
Yet they can never block the pain

Mourning over a loss so great
The moon never seems to flee
Does it mean to leave despair as fate
Or bring joyous glee?

Love has shattered
Dreams no longer matter
The rain's pattern now their peace
The wind quietly chatters
The hurt remains as hope scatters
They fall apart piece by piece

The sun does come anew
Their heavy heart is laid to rest
From them a strange thing grew
A single final breath

From it did come Death
But they shall no longer burden
The reality of what is left
As they close the final curtains
