LET US CELEBRATE

How appropriate to celebrate
Our independence on this date.
To take a day simply to pause
Reflecting on our country’s cause

To fight and win our liberty…
Secure our right to living free.
To document with signature
A piece of paper to assure

Our Declaration does provide
The freedoms in which we abide.
Rights to pursuit and to possess
Life, liberty, and happiness.

That equality be realized…
Religious choices recognized.
The right to speak our hearts and minds
And every right freedom defines.

We celebrate this land we love…
Blessed by Our Father up above.
A nation kept free day by day
By some who fight and some who pray.

Freedom comes in many forms.
We’re sheltered in our Savior’s arms!
Guarded by Angels day and night!
Shielded by military might!

So on this fourth day of July
Lift flags and prayers up to the sky.
Let’s let our fireworks display
A free and God blessed USA!
