Poetic Verses
The Land
How many centuries there is that record in the pages of history
About man fighting each other to establish a form of ascendancy
We can see how families get divided that were one a tight band
When there is time for that division of that family land
Those classic scholars would often talked about those Roman legions
Invaded and conquered many of those territories in the European regions
As Julius Caesar with that fire in his eye which show that desire
That he wanted to spread those wings of the Roman Empire
There were those cases where those investors of yore got that itch
That by finding new areas for settlement will make them rich
Not factoring the changes and the working process involve initially
So they preyed on the trust of the natives and their naivety
As soon as they settled and get their bearing on a sound ground
Began to gather more and took on more of the lands around
And most certainly will pounce on any area so verdant with glee
This will show that sign that there demonstrated fertility
But that sparkle in their eyes get even brighter when they behold
When they got the news that there is that potential of gold
This then being fortified by the seen the natives' wearing for ornamental value
This would then allow them to get more settlers and investor interested too
Now today many will get embroil in that aspect of turmoil
Over those territories that have that mineral called oil
This can involve such long and very heated legal argument
Before there is any form of agreement about a win-win settlement
But can one honestly believe that this was foremost in the master's plan
That as people we should be fighting over such valuable commodity as land
Because as time as always on man bring along that inevitable depletion
He should leave in such beautiful condition for the next generation
