A Message From Dad

Many years have passed since Dad left for Heaven........
Great was his  influence,  with values  to  believe in.

A message from Dad   through the soul of another ?
It seems too mysterious,  it compels me to wonder ....

Well, here is the story,  please listen, don't  laugh

One day near September, I think I remember
A man stood in line,  he waited the time,  to get my autograph

Where did this man come from?  Where did he go ?
How in the world could he sense what I  know ?

He wore a white hat and a handsome smile
I wish I could've  known him and talked for awhile

He said "You have a beautiful soul"
He said "I love you" ,  this made me feel so whole

The  moment  soon passed  as I stood in the sun
Had I only  known that he was the one.

A caring  soul in the world,  like me, I see
With a purpose in life,  a spirit who's free.

The message was simple, yet so profound
The words "I love you' were such a sweet sound

When I  express my  passion for life   with my God-given  gift
So many hearts,  my songs , they  can give a lift

To higher ground the  intended purpose,  where no person or soul is ever worthless.
I think the rich are truly  rich  if  in their hearts,  they have compassion, now that's a start

So  what was this man's mission?  What was his goal ?
I must always hold dearly these words  I was told.

The mystery of life is so deep and confusin'
Was he sent by our Father?  This man was He usin'?

A kind soul with passion is seldom in fashion
In this  world gone crazy,  run by the lazy

I  felt this  man had a soul,  he retained it  by standing
True to himself  in a world so demanding

Like Dad planned  to tell me,  but words seldom given
A love for his children,  the reason for livin'

Like a man with no arms,  a soul can't embrace
or hold a body,  or kiss a face

But  the truth can set you free
And music can give a soul a new life,  you see

A melody so sweet, with lyrics so true
A song has a message,  it can make someone blue

Tender tunes can inspire,  one must confess
They allow one to think,  not like the rest

With  courage to face the struggles of life,
to withstand the storms and unyielding strife,
makes a soul what it is,   no matter the cost.
This is not the trait  of the lost.

The weak use image to mask their milieu
Smiles and promises  are  often presented to you

On the way to the top  we all have a choice
Seek safety  with numbers or speak truth with our  voice

The money,  the gold,  is seldom given
To a soul too honest or a heart too driven

But simple treasures of life may accumulate awhile
They're revealed by your spirit,  it shows in your smile

Unlike the gold hoarded in the Wells Fargo Bank
a  song gives a soul so much to thank

A kind and beautiful soul,  now that's such a pleasure
We can all bank on that,  it's like a national treasure

When kind  people speak up  in social defiance
The hearts of the meek  hold hands in alliance

A  message of truth,  so honest and daring
Its meaning so simple from one who is caring

The riches of life,  all we can hold
Are held in the soul,  here is our gold

"You have a beautiful soul", "Daughter", "I love you"
Thank you for sharing it with the world.
