My Life is hiding in everyday dreams..What was an illusion
now is played out in yesterday's screams..My reality is a
blanket in the sand..Everytime I think I'm going mad..
I cover-up and wake-up in another land..I'm
disconnected with others and others around me..It
sounds so simple even a child's simple riddle and
rhyme could tell you the story..Of man's
bitter fear and utmost agony..We all come to
grips with what is borrowed and what is
perceived..What is learned and what we choose to
believe..Angels of our better nature and demons
who deceive..Man's lust for understanding, the who,
what and wheres..What started us out..And why God,
The Devil or whatever he may be..Left us here with
amnesia on this ball of dirt..Always chasing always
racing to end mankinds self-inflicted annihilation..
Welcome to Planet Earth..Where all your dreams come
true and life is what you make it..So long as you
don't mind killing apart of you..that most often dies first..
Whether or not you know this..The child inside you cries..
And the older you get..The farther you don't see and lest
regrets often come..The death inside you and heartache
reminds you..only the good die young..For only the
young can see..The magic, the muse and laughter
whereas we see..A glass half-empty..And in a child's
mind's eye, they see a kool-aide smile..and
heartfelt empathy..
