I Often Wonder
I often wonder of time gone before
when my days were younger and much less spent
of what would lie beyond that since closed door
of all of the ifs that life could have lent
I wander in memory, hard and sweet
and I ponder those paths that I could take
Though some rise to glory and some defeat
if chosen, what difference it would make?
If I waited longer for you at hand
would I be different than I am now?
Would this life be rocky or much more grand
or not make a difference, anyhow?
