The Senseless Loss
You are turning things upside down,
Making a smile from my frown;
In knowing what needs to be done,
Allowing us to have your Son.
The potter is better than clay,
Remolding it whence it may stray;
As clay can say of its maker,
By no means is He a baker.
In a time a field turns fertile,
With weeding is just a hurtle;
And will cause the crops to flourish,
God sends light and rain to nourish.
So in that day the deaf will hear,
As it is written in each ear;
And the blind are able to see,
Where gloom and darkness use to be.
Humble people will find the joy,
That Satan had tried to destroy;
Even people as sick and poor,
Will be rich and find their cure.
Those who are making people sin,
A lake of fire they jump in;
On trap doors is where they will stand,
And Christ will open on demand
Tyrants and mockers will be gone,
No longer to tease or to con;
For evil will come to an end,
Since Christ is your Savior and friend.
