God's Here
There's fighting all around the world.
Blood spilled everywhere.
Even though God wants things right
No one seems to care.
Each day we hear of bodies
Dead; they're in the street.
No help when you live in danger
Lie there in defeat.
Many deceive and are liars
Taking all they can.
Commandments swept aside like dust
Broken by each man.
Then I found that faceless something
Causing me to sin.
It's eating at my very soul —
Future's looking slim.
There is an emptiness growing
We can't find our way.
We lost the path to the Father
Forgot how to pray.
Thank you my blessed Redeemer
‘Cause you understand.
You don't stop us from living
Or change us into sand.
You've demonstrated great patience
You've touched every life.
They show their every intention
Lashing out in strife.
Like a child throwing a tantrum
We just thrash around.
You gather us up and hold us
‘Till we settle down.
Hey, you that are heavy leaden
Hear me in my prayer.
A life of peace ever after
Is yours if you share.
So seek first the kingdom of heaven
There's where you'll fine peace.
The sins that are penned up inside you
Cleansed by your belief.
All of your sins are forgiven
Jesus has paid the price.
When you ask Him in your heart
You'll never need ask twice.
As the modern times are showing
You could have this plan.
So this is something that is offered
Gifts for every man.
Come join me in an offering
There you'll find belief.
Give up the sins; ask forgiveness;
Then you'll find relief.
Look at the choice you are making:
Is it Heaven or Earth?
An old life that always fails you,
Or one of new birth.
As you live in this world.
You will find God's near.
The One that truly surrounds you
One who's always here.
