Muhammad Ali

He called himself
The Greatest
For me
He's still the best

The beauty of his youth
Still shines in his face
For he seems to have aged
With such a dignity and grace.
He fought so many fights,
Not just those in the ring,
All fought with the passion
The way he did everything.

He was an example in my youth
For we are near the same age,
As he danced and he clowned
On the world's central stage.
As he fights for his health
This now near old man
Is still an example of the fact,
That if you try you really can.

He called himself
The Greatest
For me
He's still the best
