'Green Satin Dreams'

She lies upon the bed in wait, wrapped gently in green satin,
That flows like emerald rivers caught in time,
While in her recurring dream he is with her,
As their passion drifts in rhythm, and in rhyme.

He comes to her, with arms unfurled to softly touch her cheek,
She welcomes him, as a sigh emits from her pure, and candied lips,
Arms pull him close, as she moves her feet beneath the emerald satin sheet,
While ecstasy engulfs them both, in nature's hottest heat.

They float upon the clouds so high, within the boundaries of a sigh,
For words need not be present in this dream,
Their bodies tell the story of a love so pure, and bold,
Wrapped tightly in the magic that is sheer, and utter gold.

<><><><><>

The love they share is timeless, and forever will endure,
Regardless of the time apart on separate, aging shores,
For their dream is ever-lasting, never faltering in its plight,
And comes whenever needed, on a long, and lonely night.

~ Dreams can be many, many things, perplexing, stirring,
even whimsical, running the entire gamut of feelings, but
when they bring special memories of an innocent, beautiful
time, they are welcoming, placating, and necessary. I have
my 'special ones' - I hope you do, too.~ R.B.
