 Grandeur Of Melancholy

A World Savaged

This is the part when
you find that you are
what you aren't.

And the world got
along just fine,
but can feel savaged.

Let this be,
a kind of syringe
that takes a sample
of life currently.
Maybe it is part of cycles.
Humanity on the top.

And you think of how
wrong it is, but put it this way
of all the bacteria, worms
and leeches in the sea.
How much do you think
credit to a human being?

We took on this world
and made it something
worth while, the center piece
of what took millions of years
to amount.

It was the animals that did this.
It was the plants that we grew.
We tamed ourselves, and
still a world savaged.
