Poetic Verses
Ever Changing Mood
I put on my mood ring
and it was acting strange.
I wondered about it
But my mood seemed to change.
It was a normal green
then it went to white.
I was bored and frustrated
but that seemed alright.
Alone with my thoughts
it peeked at a yellow.
My imagination was strong
and then I was mellow.
It turned blue right away
and calm was the night.
By morning it was green
and normal was right.
I had to leave the house
and go to the store.
While I was shopping
it wasn't green anymore.
It immediately turned gray
and I rushed to get through.
I was nervous and anxious
and my mind felt it too.
It began to turn black
and I ran most the way
All nervous and tense
I got home for the day.
I lay down on the bed
and worked to calm down.
It was soon a nice blue
not restless and brown.
I took off my mood ring
and put it away.
I rested in peace
and everything was okay.
