Submission
I love my life path
it's not filled with guilt nor wrath.
I don't believe in Sin you see
and this helps me to be free.
That big "R" word they call Remorse,
isn't in my life's course.
Bibles, steeples and praying hands
once were part of my life's plan
then that "L" word set me free
and removed all Religion from me.
The "L" word I am speaking of
isn't the sensation we all call Love.
It stands for 'Logic' the one true path
it's a beautiful thing if you do the math.
For in Religion there's a slight of hand
that seems to control and conquer man.
That makes him fall to bended knees
and takes his money with such ease.
Cash they'll never see again
in a game they cannot win.
Paying penance for things their told
as their spirit's condemned and sold.
You won't see any tithing from me
I prefer my life to be free.
Yet I do help my fellow man
if and when I wish and can.
But if Religion's what you choose to do
and Guilt,Sin,Fear and Doubt comfort you.
I hope you live the best life you can
with bended knees and praying hands.
