I grew up on a farm learning southern charm
knowing right from wrong to whom I belong
My parents were Christians living by God's rule
to honor and obey not to belittle nor duel
Children were schooled by strong faithed teachers
taught not to pride their good looking features
as beauty is not a must except in minds of lust
Injured strays were friends treated with love
caring for their needs as commanded by God above
Chores came natural for those living off the land
where learning to work and play go hand in hand
Sharing God's bounty was what country folk was about
praying for blessings with thanks in a praising shout
God Bless America In Helping Us Stand
Against Evil Tyranny Threatening Our Land!
Times Have Changed American Living
But Values Have Not

patriotic anthem that speaks to the hearts of Americans.
"If the Statue of Liberty Could speak, what would she say?"
She has seen dreamers and friends come and go in the harbor,
she has watched ships sail away with our military to protect and defend,
yet she sees them come back not quite as full as when they left
and she has much she could say. The song says" We are challenged
by tyrants who envy our power." These tyrants come in many different
forms of evil and our power comes from God our creator.
