Poetic Verses
A Smile
As hopes are dashed and dreams come crashing down
Any prospect of a solution those chances are far flung
So as you it there looking at the rubble's pile
Just take a look at it and on the face put a smile
How often there is someone who theatrically pretend
That through thick and thin will always be a friend
But always had that hidden agenda all the while
To exploit, so when found out just take that moment to smile
In this recession there will be times of shortage of money
And those circumstances will demand that stretching of a penny
So even though times are tight producing that financial turmoil
There is that hope and this alone should bring that smile
As always in life achievements may cause that sweat to pour
And the effect would be that those muscles will certainly get sore
But even though you feel that grind going that extra mile
Do it with the head held high and you know what smile
In life and living we are not living in isolation or a vacuum
And there will be situations that will pose a problem
But even though at times those forces may tend to foil
There is nothing more comforting that to flash that smile
How many times when there is that sighting of a picture of a toddler
This always bring a feeling of warmth over me one that is happier
Because always on the face despite what of that little child
Is always one the is illuminated and decorated by a smile
