 once upon a time

EVERYTIME

Every time I have a cup of tea I
wash the cup. Now this is were it gets a
bit weird, my daughter emma always says, don’t bother
washing your cup. I always have to wash it again.

Why, says I in my most indignant manner.
Every time you wash your cup it’s still stained
says she, looking with great disdain at the cup even
points out the odd tea bag logo peering at me.

I ask you, in all your life, would you leave a cup stained.
Okay, okay don’t answer that, but what’s a few stains.
Makes the next cup of tea feel great again, I’ll stick to my stains.
It’s gotta be hard on emma every time, but I don't mind
