BETH
How can a young person stay pure?
When temptation sends out a lure;
Yes he can, abiding in the Word,
Adhering to all that is heard.
I wholeheartedly as do search,
As I continue to attend church;
And prize His promise in my heart,
Through the commandments I impart.
I do no desire to stray,
And attempt to wander away;
That easily causes me to sin,
Which just might corrupt me within.
Give praise and thanks be to the Lord
Who is both beloved and adored;
With the Word that has been taught,
That I have continued to have sought.
With my lips and tongue I repeat,
As I am dancing with my feet
Every law that is within,
That will be keeping me from sin.
I find joy just how it is shown,
By the Lord sitting on His throne;
More than joy found in the pleasures,
Or any of the earthly treasures.
His principles that I reflect,
And I will not ever reject;
Since His laws always make me glad,
And never could they make me sad.
