That Gun
As those baby boomers time is ending on the stage
Their replacement seem to come along laces with rage
Whilst they in their day enjoyed the time and had some fun
The ones on display seems the only way to think Is with the gun
But what seems to be of such concern and indeed frightening
Is how on earth that they were able to so easily possess them
And are quite ready no matter they levity of the situation
To respond to anything minor by discharging the weapon
There was on some occasion this news that shocked us
About the shootings of those children on the school campus
And too also the horror of what happened to those watching a film
When someone opened fire and killed and injured some of them
Pray tell me what could distort the mind of any person
That could make them con to this type of conclusion
Which would give them the right to shoot someone?
But the hurting part is there is no show of remorse at what was done
Another thing that can raise to some extent that feeling of trepidation
Is how these weapons; with such parameters and sophistication
Which are designed for those charged with a certain responsibility?
Can end up in the hand of civilians and members of the citizenry
Parent too should be proactive and instill in their children
The art of debate and respect for another person's opinion
No to get angry as there will encounter in life some differences
And using a gun at that time will only change certain circumstances
But as expected the society tent to sidestep the responsibility
Calling on those gunsmiths to boost up that measure of safety
But should re-enforce this in the minds of those owning a gun
