The Edge of Night

If an enemy would show mercy unto you--
  he would fail to be
    an enemy--

If a friend would wish destruction, hatred
  and malice unto you--
he would fail to be a friend--

If the Mastery of the Earth was achieved--
  If the love of mankind
was given freely..
  then the servants would flee--
and you would be a poor
  judge of character indeed!

If Life had little meaning--
  If the Sun never rises..
and the Moon is the only light--
  Wouldn't mirrors bend the angles..
to form dimensions..
then surely, we all shall see..
better in the night..
