An Angel of Apathy came and sat next to her majesty--
And so, did whisper in her ear.."Give me all that I
ask for, and I will return unto you, pleasures beyond
all measures." And so her highness was seduced,
by promises and persuasive fears--Her people were
satisfied, fattened and the like, with no wants and
slowly did her people die--With no cares, living in
a prism of reflective delite, where everyone you meet
on the street has that certain glare, too much TV,
too much comfort and Life dependent on what else can
I buy--Angel did reap her rewards, so many souls
bought and sold, too many to count, and so did
she fly--Off into the distance, into the Sun and into
the void beyond--Where Life everlasting exists the
fountainhead of lies--And every tear drop that remains
is simply a disguise--Can you still hear her laughing?
