This Thing Called Love!
Her heart is truly broken
Thrown away, smashed, and battered.
Torn to shreds, she's oh, so blue,
Her heart is damaged and tattered,
Her tears flow free and easy,
Her life feels over and through,
It might as well end...
She doesn't know what to do.
She can't deal with the hurt,
And she can't deal with the pain,
It's broken and hurt her heart,
She feels so blue once again.
This thing they call love,
Has caused her to sob and cry,
He's walked away…just like that,
And she has no reason why.
As lovers do, he told her one day…
He'd never break her heart,
He also promised her truly…
That they would never part.
She can't stop the tears…
They are falling like heavy rain,
Whispering, 'rejection, rejection,'
Oh, this insurmountable pain!
What did she do In life that's so bad?
To make her hurt, engulf in pain,
What did she do that was so wrong?
To wrap her tightly in hurt once again!
He's truly broken her heart,
And she gave him it easy and free,
But now he's walked away…
And has left a pain as vast as the sea!
What did she do?
She can't see the light,
She sobs, sobs and sobs,
In her bed every night!
How does she go on?
How does she survive?
How does she cope…?
How, when she's half alive!
She can't take this pain,
Her hearts truly shattered,
He's broken that heart of hers,
Like it never mattered!
Will she come through it…?
Because she doesn't don't know how,
…She'll get though each day…
For she's brokenhearted just now!
This thing called love,
This hurtful emotion,
This disease of the heart,
This pathetic notion!
Pathetic and cruel,
It causes hurt and pain,
She swears to herself.
It will NEVER happen again!
To be alone is far better…
Than this thing called love,
Is he looking down?
This icon called God?
If he is then why...,
Why her life's always in pain,
Hurt, hurt, hurting…!
All over again!
