 once upon a time

Understand
 
I know, I understand, I told you.
These words so easily uttered.
Convene a sense of comradeship.
That only exists in deception.
 

Lips move the hearts remain: still.
But it will be alright, I know, I told you.
That’s enough to let you understand.
 
Words to appease, to deceive, but
words knowinly used to hurt you
No understanding that one cannot understand.
It happens to all in various degrees of numbness
 
And so we stand,nodding heads,saying
Thank you for knowing, for understanding.
But you’re screaming, I know, I know, you don’t
Understand a word uttered, you're really saying,told you so
