A worthless running game
is how I would characterize
my relation to my problems as
they keep piling on and plying injury.
I must dodge their stealthy attempts to tackle;
I have something at stake...its me.
But they are hell-bent and determined to grab a hold
by any way or means.
Some say my problems are my greatest teachers.
Some say they represent a kind of dangerous opportunity.
I say I need to find a blocker or a buffer
to keep them from taking down the likes of me.
I have yet to have my shining season.
I have yet to wear the green laurels
of my promise and
reap a Pyrrhic victory.
