Roof and Credit Experiences (with Thanksgiving note)When my new roof was installed recently God provided in countless ways abundantly He equipped men with skills to perform labor More manna blessings from heaven came later Leaf guards added were not quoted originally But left over shingles lowered price dramatically My church agreed to fund set percent or amount I would pay the balance after it was divided out Since final bill almost equaled their amount total They decided to pay it in full instead of partial I was speechless and overwhelmed by the news They reached far beyond to meet my deep need too Tuesday I paid the balance on my home equity loan Relief and load lifted just with the interest saved alone Loan still open until it ends almost five years in future God will guide me each step before I borrow for sure During the last two months another situation developed Credit card account noted as delinquent suddenly closed Earlier identity theft led to replacement card issued in June Not changing account number on bill pay resulted in doom Grace period given to update account info within 90 days I paid on time yet now I understand the processing delay But two months of late charges and interest were reversed Along with credit for amount I overpaid by check reimbursed In the process of applying for a lower interest rate on my loan My credit score had now dropped 120 points in a month alone New credit card application denied due to wages and credit rating Lower reward card issued with chance to start my credit rebuilding God also prompted me to obtain my latest credit report history Revealed another credit card from four years ago in delinquency I called for explanation and they will take it off my record too God will restore my credit in His timing and carry me through This Thanksgiving season I have so much to be grateful Six month temp job, new roof and loan both paid in full Most of all for the gift of eternal life through His Son As Tiny Tim said in his little voice God bless us everyone © Carol S. 11/15/12 NOTE: Friday, I received an email from my former supervisor at my old job. She wanted to know if I was available and willing to help out with inventory. I will be working Wednesdays there all day starting November 28th for a month. It will seem different being there again, but I know God will help me adapt. I have two extra out of pocket medical bills right now, plus I can definitely put the money to use in other ways. God's timing is always perfect and I am so grateful for how He continues to provide for my needs. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
