Yes Christmas
Whew! This is what lots of us will say this year
My! How quickly Christmas time is getting so near
It just seems like yesterday we wished each other a Happy New Year
Now it time to replace that drear with some Christmas cheer
It can often to the face bring a smile to hear many make this comment
This season things will be different, spending will be careful and quite prudent
But as the time progressed on observation this will be humorously noticed
That this was a form of preamble and can be considered lip service
How can one result this moment so compelling a pull so strong?
Letting one feeling and even memory be set alight by the lyrics of a song
Then there is nothing that can fill the heart with such child-like delight
Like seeing the artistry of those decoration and the twinkling of those lights
But what can make the scene such a wonder there to see
Is to see decorations and all those presents under that tree
Some may be artificial but other leave an aroma in the air for some time
One that comes to mind is that on which is associated with the pine
Another thing that can make that body with feeling so overwhelming
Is that joy, the thrill of watching others and even doing some shopping?
As there is that sifting through the various stores captivated by the extent of those bargain
With the main intention of enticing one into and adventure in shopping
On that day there is something which certainly tells
As people are busy going to church under the peeling of the bells
The building packed to capacity, but inside there certainly many and this is true
Who for many years have neither been to church not sat in any of the pew?
