AT LAST
Was it a leap of faith?
no, I don't think so-
With feet placed firmly
upon the ground
I chance to relive
those moments of exhilaration
Like that of a cat
9 lives
no-
I fly
I jump
I sigh
Relief
something to live for.
The fall
before you wake
Much like some of you
I will venture
inside the midnight glow
In rare form
during twilight
Between a majestic purple robe
and a glint of an giant morning smile
`Thru the foggy cough of a new dawn
I will soar from mountain to mountain
ledge to ledge
somewhat resembling a bald eagle
perhaps a spirit passed on
I can fly
...I can fly~
The rush within
my heartbeat
what I feel
Taste
Smell
It is what it is!
Atop those grandiose pines
I press my skin against it's prickles
and feel the sticky sensation of it's sap
Oh but yes
I bring back it's scent
At last.
