Poetic Verses
A New Year
Some may look at this in fear others may cheer
But the reality is that end of another year is here
There will be many too who will feel a bit sadder
At that realization of indeed getting a bit older
This situation most certainly will not bring much enjoyment
Because there Is that certainty of being faced with retirement
As lots of the finances have been exhausted in educating the children
So that passage of time can only bring to the fore some dreaded problem
Then too there are those who will suddenly get that trepidation
As they look at that increasing load created by those resolutions
As there is that realization that in the times they made no attempt
To do any as that seem the best thing to do among friends as that moment
But why be alarm the way time flew about that there is nothing one can do
And if you did not fulfill any goal don't let any form of disappointment be an issue
Just see that as the past and from within let some energy the system permeate
And make those one that are realistic that can impact that personal estate
It possible that sometimes resolutions are made like a form of competition
In an attempt to match paces with or outdo those peers or a companion
Instead of focusing on those things that would have been readily accomplish
So there would be no time to have any rue or oneself to admonish
Look to at the situation and to oneself make that firm commitment
That will certainly build character, strength and some sense of accomplishment
And therefore within there will be certainly something to revere
And there will be such joy and cheer that will last through the year.
