Often I am left wondering
at the seeming folly of love…
…why do we allow that strongest of
emotions to color our inner world so?
We lose ourselves so completely to the feelings.
We laugh…we cry…we can't eat…we can't sleep…
and we ponder…do they feel it too?
Loving is the easiest thing…
…and the hardest.
And when it's there,
nothing in the world feels the same.
The heavens seem bluer, the grass more green,
jokes are funnier, even food tastes better,
but only when you are with that one and only…
…why should that be?
Love is always there, in every person we meet,
yet we only see it when we choose to do so,
instead of acknowledging its presence
in every human being…
So why must it always be that we seek it
from only one person? From that one
whose image it is that we see in our dreams?
There is so much love that is there for the taking…
…and more importantly, the giving.
So give.
Give of yourself,
give the love that you seek,
because the more you give
the more
you will receive.
