Attempts to save went null and void
This man where streets would take this boy
Beyond corners where nothing good
Became of him, misunderstood
Fast lane, one speed became of him
Drugs took their toll and so did sin
Seen as refuse life became
Real bad, no hand to halt this shame
Judgment crossed minds of so called friends
Family too, not one would bend
To just give time to one thought love
Was his to have, at least thought of
His way of life became down turns
As bridges closed and also burned
No way to turn, no way, no more
Was at doorstep of life sin gored
Cold and lonely nights shared fires
Upon a soul his less desired
And so he came to end it all
One night where faint his name was called
Dear son of mine I am right here
Here to quell your darkest fears
Here as was before you chased
Lonesome paths I can replace
You called to me nearing last breath
To come and save of what is left
You son I love near steps of death
I will rebuild all you need do
Just hold to me as I do you
For in my heart I have proclaimed
As you called out to me who saves
No more, no less, or second guessed
No need to have your heart hard pressed
As I will make what others thought
A new creature of you I sought
Rolling with Christ will be your way
Like stone I rolled from my own grave
A new beginning to now mend
Others I love with you I send
Rolling with Christ
