The Lord is my inheritance,
And promised to maintain His Word;
With such awesome omnipotence,
That I have ever seen or heard.
With all my heart I want to win,
His blessings and also His favor;
Freeing me from the bondage of sin,
While He becomes my Savior.
He promised to be kind to me,
As He would be easing my mind;
Giving wisdom so I could see,
With the peace for my heart to find.
My life that I have thought about,
And have directed my feet back;
On some of the things I had doubt,
With the confidence that I lack.
But in the written instructions,
That the Lord has left in my care;
Points out a list of seductions,
For you to avoid and beware.
Without any hesitation,
I hurry up for to obey;
Not to do a prohibition,
That just might make me go astray.
His mercy and grace fills the earth,
But a friend to all that do fear;
He gives salvation and rebirth,
To each one who will keep Him near.
