It is cold outside and my heart yearns for spring
Winter has griped my soul with its bitter frost
I miss the sound of birds when they sing
Love in harmony, in nature I get lost
But the north wind blows, I shiver throughout
It hurts to breathe so crisp is colds' bite
Love's fire is strained and filled with doubt
Warmth takes wing on a migration flight
I search for truth in a lifeless day
As I try to cope with winter's sting
A seasons change is soon on its way
